You’ve been using OPTIONS for a few weeks - or perhaps you’re thinking of adopting it in the future. This webinar will take a closer look at the key pedagogical principles behind the course and how they work in the reality of the Italian Scuola media classroom.

We’ll work our way through a typical unit and explore how OPTIONS aims to motivate young teenagers through engaging texts, Grammar Raps, real-life videos and the teen soap, while developing their language and skills step by step. We’ll also look at the practical support the course provides for dealing with mixed-ability classes and helping every learner make progress.

Herbert Puchta

Dr. Herbert Puchta ist hauptberuflich als Autor und Teacher Trainer tätig. Er war bereits auf zahlreichen internationalen Konferenzen als Plenarvortragender zu Gast und hielt in über 30 Ländern Workshops und Seminare. Seit fast drei Jahrzehnten befasst er sich mit kognitiver Psychologie und wie ihre Erkenntnisse im Fremdsprachenunterricht umgesetzt werden können. Er ist Autor von zahlreichen international erfolgreichen Lehrwerken, sowie Verfasser einer Vielzahl von Artikeln und Resource Books zum Thema English Language Teaching. Puchta war außerdem Präsident der IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language).
